partly, and we'd rather be straight about it. arya can go deeper than the board minimum — harder problems, the conceptual layers boards don't always demand — but her tuning, her question bank and her scoring are all built around cbse boards. the smart play: use her to build a rock-solid syllabus foundation, then layer entrance-specific practice on top. that's the right order for those exams anyway. dedicated jee/neet modes aren't built yet.

where does my data live?

your questions and photos are sent to our ai provider (openai) to generate arya's answers — that's how the ai works. if you're signed in, your progress, streaks and chat history are stored in our database (supabase) so you can pick up where you left off on any device. a few other services handle specific jobs: payments (razorpay), crash reports (sentry), product analytics (posthog) and emails (resend). we do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do not train our own ai on your chats. the full list, with what each one gets, is on the privacy page.

can i wipe everything and start fresh?

yes, yourself, without emailing anyone. signed in: profile → delete account permanently removes your account and its data. you can also clear individual chats from the tutor anytime, or just sign out. guests: clearing this site's data in your browser settings wipes everything, because that's the only place it ever lived.

it's okay, with guardrails. under india's dpdp act anyone under 18 is a child, so at signup we ask for your birth year and, if you're a minor, a parent or guardian's email and their consent — and we email them a confirmation link rather than just taking your word for it. for minors the behavioural side of the app is switched off entirely: no engagement profiling, no student-type classification, and analytics is never tied to your identity. the teaching itself works exactly the same. no user of any age is ever shown advertising. if we don't know your age, we treat you as a minor.

yes — she's an ai, and ai gets things wrong sometimes. we've done a lot to keep her inside your syllabus and honest about it, but treat her like a very good tutor, not a textbook: if an answer decides your marks, check it against your book or your teacher. edugarden is a study aid, and no app can promise you a score. if you catch a mistake, hit the feedback button — those genuinely get read.

is my progress guaranteed to improve?

no, and anyone promising that is selling something. what we can promise is honest tooling: your predicted score is calculated from your actual graded answers, not inflated, and it says out loud how many chapters it's actually seen before showing you a number. the studying is still yours to do.
